Everything You Need to Know About Move-Out Week at 360 Management
YOUR GUIDE TO A SUCCESSFUL MOVE-OUT DAY!

It's time to move out of your rental - and we know that sometimes moving can be overwhelming. Between packing boxes, scheduling movers, and setting up your next home, it's easy to overlook a few important details before turning in your keys.
To help make your move-out as smooth as possible (and help maximize your security deposit refund), we've put together the ultimate move-out checklist for 360 Management residents.
1. Return All Keys & Access Items
Before you leave, make sure you return all property access items, including:
- House keys
- Mailbox keys
- Pool keys (if applicable)
- Garage door openers
- Car tags or parking passes
Moving out on a weekday?
Please return all items to our office during business hours (Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM). The 360 Management office is located at 411B Opelika Road!
Moving out on a weekend?
Leave all keys and access items on the kitchen counter along with your forwarding address. Then text your property manager—or email
rentals@concepttoclosing.com—a photo of the items before leaving the property unlocked. Be sure to confirm this process with your property manager before moving out.
2. Keep Your Utilities Active
Utilities must remain on and in your name through the last day of your lease.
Turning utilities off early can result in:
- Reconnection fees
- Charges for utility service through the end of your lease
- Potential mildew or property damage if air conditioning is turned off
If you move out before your lease officially ends, that's perfectly fine! Just remember to:
- Keep utilities active until your lease expires.
- Leave the thermostat set to 75° to help protect the home's HVAC unit.
3. Clean Thoroughly
A clean home helps make the inspection process much smoother.
Before leaving, make sure you've:
- Removed all personal belongings
- Cleaned all appliances inside and out
- Wiped down the refrigerator, microwave, oven, dishwasher, and cabinets
- Removed lint from the dryer
- Cleaned grease from the oven
- Ensured the garbage disposal and drains are free of debris
Don't forget to remove any personal devices like:
- Ring doorbells
- Security cameras
- Smart home accessories
If our team has to remove these items, additional charges may apply.
4. Check the Small Details
These are some of the most commonly overlooked items during move-out inspections:
- Install a new HVAC filter (or leave one by the return vent)
- Replace smoke detector batteries if needed
- Make sure all light bulbs work and match
- Replace stove drip pans if necessary
- Dust ceiling fans
- Clean baseboards
- Make sure blinds are clean and functioning
- Empty every cabinet, drawer, and closet
- Ensure sinks and tubs drain properly
Taking a few extra minutes to double-check these items can make a big difference.
5. Had a Pet? Schedule Flea Treatment
If an animal lived in the home—including pets, ESAs, or service animals—you'll need to provide proof of professional flea treatment after moving out.
Please send documentation to your property manager once the service has been completed.
6. Complete Your Key Return Form
Don't forget to complete your Key Return Form with your forwarding address.
Security deposit refunds cannot be processed without this form!
Please allow up to 60 days after your lease expiration date for your deposit refund to be processed - our team will let you know that your security deposit is on the way!
7. Turn Off Automatic Rent Payments
If you have automatic rent payments enabled, remember to cancel them before your lease ends.
Automatic payments are not disabled automatically after move-out.
